Giola, or “the tear of Aphrodite,” can be described as an earthly paradise. The famous natural swimming pool is located in Astris, at a distance of 40 km from Limenas. Legend has it that Zeus created it so the goddess Aphrodite could swim there. Its green waters, white rocks, and special nature attract countless visitors every summer. But like any other hidden paradise, it is not easily accessible. With a 15-20 minute walk and a challenging dirt road, Giola is a destination for the chosen few!

Petite yet intensely exotic, Saliara is a beautiful beach with white pebbles and clear blue waters that everyone loves. As a more “family-friendly” destination, it has an organized beach with a beach bar and a parking lot.
The natural shade from the pines offers a note of coolness and makes the beach suitable for an all-day getaway.

This is hands down the island’s most famous beach! This is Thassos’ longest shore, and its soft golden sand with clear blue waters will win you over at first sight (and dive).
With easy access even by local means (bus or boat), Chrysi Ammoudia is the ideal choice for those who want to relax and enjoy various activities. It has restaurants, cafes, and an organized beach with a beach bar and water sports facilities.
